Reorganizing Williams Dining
Starting this September, students can eat dinner until 8:00 pm in Driscoll and Mission and find food in various Paresky venues until much later than that. They’ll also enjoy expanded menus in all three locales. A second Grab-and-Go station will be established at the Eco Café for students with tight afternoon schedules. And all those late risers will appreciate continuous service in the mornings between breakfast and lunch. Meanwhile, Dodd and Greylock will be taken out of service, saving Williams up to $880,000 a year and substantially reducing annual greenhouse gas emissions. More details here. The Record's take here.

Particulars here. The Record's take here.

Was Yankee Doodle Ephraim Williams?
According to Wikipedia, at least, the original model for Yankee Doodle himself was none other than our Founding Father. Scroll down here to "Early Versions" for the lyrical smoking-gun, which begins "Brother Ephraim sold his Cow/And bought him a Commission." Williams archivist Sylvia Brown says the jury's still out, pointing to recent research that "would have us looking for an Ephraim who was associated with the 1758 British march against Fort Ticonderoga." Stay tuned.

Massachusetts law requires all college students to have health insurance, so Williams bills your student an annual premium of $1,088.00 for the College’s Student Accident and Sickness Plan. If you determine that your OWN insurance plan provides comparable coverage, you must WAIVE participation in the student insurance plan by August 1 to avoid that $1,088 charge. Do so here.
