NEW MAILROOM NAMED FOR JESSY PARK
The Paresky Center mailroom has been named the Jessica H. Park Mailroom. Jessy has worked in Williams' mailroom since 1980, while her paintings have drawn national recognition.

HERSCHEL SMITH TRUST OFFERS MORE FELLOWSHIPS
Seniors Matt Keegan, Joanna Korman, Maggie Lowenstein, Jeffrey Wessler and Devin Yagel will be walking on the cobblestone streets of Cambridge University next year, thanks to the expansion of the Herschel Smith Fellowships program.

FACULTY NEWS

NSF RENEWS SUPPORT FOR ASTRONOMY RESEARCH...
The National Science Foundation has awarded a renewal grant of $330,000 to the Keck Northeast Astronomy Consortium (KNAC), of which Williams is a member. The grant will allow astronomers Karen Kwitter, Jay Pasachoff, and Steven Souza to continue their work with students in a variety of ways.

The NSF has continued its support of the Keck Geology Consortium, of which Williams is a founding member, by awarding it a three-year, $650,000 grant under its Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.

COLLEGE ADVISING AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN OF ALUMNI
From June 4 through November 2, 2007, sons and daughters of alumni who are rising seniors or seniors may meet with a senior admission officer for an early evaluation of their credentials. To schedule, your child should call the Office of Admission at 413-597-2214. IMPORTANT: Be sure to identify yourself as an alumni daughter or son. When you visit Williams, bring a copy of your most recent (unofficial) transcript and any test scores and, if you visit while the college is in session, plan to join a campus tour, attend a group information session and attend classes.

Senior P/OF Ryan Fote has been named to the NESCAC First Team, first year 3B Robin Allemand is the Co-Rookie of the Year, and head coach Bill Barrale is the Coach of the Year. Seniors Paul Morgan and Chris Kenney have been named to the NESCAC Second Team along with Allemand.
