FROM THE CUTTING BOARD OF ELISSA BROWN '09

GROUND BREAKS ON STETSON-SAWYER PROJECT
Foundation work has begun on two new academic buildings, one north and one south of Sawyer Library, scheduled for completion in time for the 2008-2009 academic year. In addition to providing classrooms, gathering spaces, language labs, and an archeology lab, these two buildings will house some two-thirds of the Williams faculty who teach in the humanities and social sciences. Both buildings are part of a larger project that will eventually encompass a new Sawyer Library behind Stetson Hall and a large, green quad in the northeast corner of campus.
