COLLEGE NEWS

ADMISSION APPLICATIONS HIT NEW HIGH

The College has received a total of 5,742 applications for the Class of 2008, up from 5,704 for the Class of 2007 and a new record. According to Director of Admission Richard Nesbitt ’74 "all indications are that the quality of this pool is extraordinary. Competition for spaces will be as keen as ever." __________________________________________

COLLEGE LOWERS LOAN EXPECTATIONS

Loan limits for college students are rising nationally, but Williams President Morty Schapiro has announced that the College will lower the amount of loans it expects students from low-income families to take out. The difference will be made up with an increase in Williams-based scholarship grants. *SEE http://www.williams.edu/admin/news/releases.php?id=868

DIVERSITY INITIATIVE UP AND RUNNING

How do you (or did you) experience Williams? Finding out is part of a program examining issues of diversity at the College. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to participate. Click below for President Schapiro’s message and find out how you can make suggestions or share experiences. *SEE http://www.williams.edu/williams-only/admin/diversity/
