While Securing those Gains for the College's Future

More than 26,000 alumni, parents and friends gave 134,290 gifts totaling $500,164,885 to The Williams Campaign. This fall, Professor of Mathematics Edward Burger offered the first interdisciplinary Gaudino course on the creative process. Holiday Shutdown Nets $90,000, Shrinks Footprint
On December 24, Williams began its experiment of setting back temperatures and turning off equipment in most campus buildings until January 5, when Winter Study began. Early returns show that the shutdown saved the College nearly $90,000 and reduced greenhouse emissions by 287 metric tonnes. Read on.

Eight Seniors Awarded Graduate Fellowships in England
Williams has announced the winners of the Dr. Herchel Smith Fellowship for graduate study at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, and the Donovan-Moody Fellowship for graduate study at Oxford University. Read on.

AAAS Honors Prof. Kwitter
The American Association for the Advancement of Science honored Karen Kwitter, Ebenezer Fitch Profesor of Astronomy, with the distinction of Fellow for her efforts to advance science. Read on.

Cast your ballot for Alumni Trustee and Tyng Administrator! Online elections began Friday, January 23, and will close Friday, February 6, at 11:59 p.m. Alumni with an active e-mail address in our system have received a personalized e-ballot. (A reminder "e-ballot" will be sent Monday, Feb. 2, to e-mailable alumni who've not yet voted.) Paper ballots will be mailed out on the week of February 9 to all alumni who did not vote via e-ballot. After Fall Season, Ephs 2nd in Directors' Cup
